The listings cover calls made across the city, with times stretching from early morning into the late night hours.
Among the more serious entries were arrests for assault causing bodily injury, family violence, drug possession, and intoxication-related driving. Police also reported several theft and burglary cases, along with vehicle-related offenses such as striking an unattended car and driving while intoxicated. Friday arrests included assault, burglary and vehicle offenses
Friday’s entries began before sunrise and continued into the evening. Police reported an assault causing bodily injury at 1:41 a.m. in the 1100 block of North W.S. Young Drive, followed by a burglary at 7:20 a.m. in the 100 block of West Elms Road and another burglary at 11:33 a.m. in the 100 block of North W.S. Young Drive.
Other Friday cases included a motor vehicle theft at 8:30 a.m. in the 3500 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, a welfare concern on Farm to Market Road 3046 at 3:16 p.m. and a drug or narcotic offense at 4:13 p.m. in the 300 block of South 24th Street. Police also cited theft in the 1100 block of West Veterans Memorial Boulevard, and a collision was reported at 1:02 p.m. on Georgetown Road.
Weekend DWI and intoxication calls spread across major roads
Driving while intoxicated was one of the most repeated offenses in the police log. Officers reported DWI arrests Friday night on East Business Highway 190 and North Gray Street, and another DWI arrest Saturday on West FM 2410. A reckless driver was also reported Sunday on South Key Avenue.
Several calls involved intoxication or suspected impairment in traffic settings. Police reported driving while intoxicated, possession of marijuana and possession of a controlled substance Saturday night in the 1700 block of North First Street. Another arrest for driving while intoxicated came Sunday in the 500 block of West Avenue F, and an emergency medical detention was listed later that day on North Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.
Theft, burglary and criminal mischief cases covered homes and businesses
Property crime made up a large share of the reports. Police listed burglary at homes and businesses, theft of property, criminal mischief and credit or debit card abuse. A property theft between $750 and $2,500 was reported Friday in the 100 block of North First Street, while another theft case involved property valued between $100 and $750 in the 3800 block of Bridie Drive.
Other entries included criminal mischief under $100, found property and theft in multiple locations such as East Avenue E, Farm to Market Road 116, and South 8th Street. Officers also reported burglary of a vehicle on West Stan Schlueter Loop and unlawful entry into a motor vehicle on several streets, showing that both parked cars and residential areas were targeted during the weekend.
Assault complaints ranged from family violence to disputes among relatives
