OXON HILL, MD — Maryland-National Capital Park Police have opened a homicide investigation after an officer found a man dead near the Glassmanor Community Center in Oxon Hill early Sunday morning. The discovery was made during a patrol around 5:30 a.m. in the 1100 block of Marcy Ave.
Police said the man was unresponsive when the officer found him. Despite life-saving efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
